Worry Monster Activity Book for Kids and Teens
Anxiety and Worry Worksheets | School Counsellor & SEND Resource | SEMH
Big worries can feel a little smaller once you’ve fed them to a monster. 👾
Lots of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities carry worries around all day. “What if” thoughts can bubble up at school, at bedtime or on the way somewhere new, and they don’t always have the words to say what’s wrong. If that sounds familiar, you’re far from alone, and giving worries a place to go really does help.
The Worry Monster Activity Book is a playful, practical set of worksheets for kids and teens and the grown-ups who care for them. Children work through it with an adult at their own pace: finding out what worry is, noticing how it feels in their body, and then “feeding” their worries to the Worry Monster so they don’t have to carry them around any more.
