Phase Transfer Support

Moving to a new school is one of the biggest changes in your child's education, and their EHCP needs to be ready before it happens. The law sets firm deadlines. For most school moves, the local authority must review your child's plan and issue the final amended version, naming the new school, by 15 February in the year of transfer. For young people moving from secondary school into post-16 education, the deadline is 31 March. This is the review that decides where your child goes next and what support follows them there. It's worth getting right. Who this is for Families whose child has an EHCP and is moving: • from nursery or early years into Reception • from infant to junior school • from primary to secondary (or middle) school • from secondary school into sixth form, college or another post-16 setting Phase Transfer Complete (£1,095) Everything in Essentials, plus: • Attendance at the review meeting (virtual) to advocate alongside you • Correspondence with the local authority on your behalf, including following up on missed deadlines Already had the review? What happens if the named school isn't right? If the final plan names a school you don't agree with, you may have the right to appeal to the SEND Tribunal.
